Small intestine is the site of complete digetion of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.
Glands present in the walls of small intestine secrete intestinal juice.
Enzymes in the intestinal juice convert proteins into amino acids, complex carbohydrates into glucose and fats into fatty acids and glyccrol.
Digested food is absoebed by the villi present in the walls of intestine.
