Find the equation of parabola whose focus is (0,1) and the directrix is x+2=0. Also find the vertex of the parabola.

`(y-1)^(2)=4(x+1),"Vertex"-=(-1,1)`

From the definition of parabola, any point on the parabola P(x,y) is equidistant from focus and directrix.
`So," "(x-0)^(2)+(y-1)^(2)=((x+2)/(sqrt(1)))^(2)`
`or" "(y-1)^(2)=4(x+1)`
Thus, vertex of parabola is (-1,1).
