Q. By selling 12 toffees for a rupee, a man loses 20%. How many for a rupees should he sell to get a gain of 20% ?

Selling price of 1 toffee= Rs1/12
Loss=20/100=(CP- SP)/CP
CP=Rs 5/48
Cost price of x toffees= 5x/48
Profit = 20/100= (SP-CP)/CP
`1/5*5x/48=SP-5x/48`
SP=x/8
No. of toffees should be sold in a rupee= 8 toffees.
