Very briefly describe the following :
(i) Lysosomes are autophagous organelles during starvation.
(ii) Membrane biogensis
(iii) Oxysomes of mitochondria

(i) During starvation, the lysosomes digest stored food contents (proteins, lipids, glycogen) and provide the necessary energy to the cells. This is called autophagy.
(ii) The process by which some of the proteins and lipids, synthesized in the cell with the help of ER, are untilized in building the cell membrane is called membrane biogenesis.
(iii) Oxysomes are ATP - generating assemblies present on the cristae (folds of inner membrane of mitochondria).
