The correct Answer is:
(i) 61 : 30 (ii) 30 : 31

Earnings of Aruncachalam = ₹ 48800
Expenditure = ₹ 24000
(i) Ratio of earnings to expenditure
48800 : 24000
488 : 240
` 8 xx 61 : 8 xx 30`
= 61 : 30
(ii) Savings = Income - Expenditure
₹ 48800 - ₹ 24000= ₹ 24800
Expenditure : savings
24000 : 24800
= 240 : 248 = 30:31
