(a) By assumed mean method
`barx=barxd+(sumfd)/(N)=10+(-180)/(500)`
`=10-1.44=8.56` years.
(b) By step deviation method.
`barx=barxd+(sumfd')/(N)xxi`
`=10+(-180)/(500)xx4=10+(-0.36xx4)`
`=10-1.44=8.56` Years.
