Find the angle between the minute hand and the hour hand of a clock when the time is 7:20 AM.

We know that hehour hand completes one rotation in 12 h, while the minute hand completes one rotation in 60 mm.
Angle traced by the hour hand in7 h 20 min,i.e.,`22/3h=(360/12xx22/3)^(@)=220^(@)`
Also, angle traced by the minute hand in 60 min `= 360^(@)`
Angle traced by the minute hand in 20 min=`(360/60xx20)^(@)=120^(@)`
Hence,requiredanglebetweenthetwo handsis `220^@ 120^@ - 100^@`.
