Places A and B are 100 km apart on a highway. One car start from A and another from B at the same time at different speeds. If the car travel in the same direction, they meet in 5 hours, if they travel towards each other, they meet in 1 hour. What are the speeds of the two cars?

Places A and B are 30 km apart and they are on a straight road. Humid travels from A to B on bike. At the same time Joseph starts from B on bike, travels towards A. they meet each other after 20 minutes . If Joseph would have started from B at the same time but in the opposite direction (instead of towards A) Hamid would have caught up with him after 3 hours . find the speed of Hamid and Joseph .

Two coast guard stations are located 600 km apart at points A(0,0) and B(0,600). A distress signal from a ship at P is received at slightly different times by two stations. It determined that the ship is 200 km farther from station A than it is from station B. Determine the equation of hyperbola that passes through the location of the help.

Two soldiers A and B in two different underground bunkers on a straight road, spot an intruder at the top of a hill. The angle of elevation of the intruder from A and B to the ground level in the eastern direction are 30^(@) and 45^(@) respectively. If A and B stand 5 km apart, find the distance of the intruder from B.

Two long, straight wires a and b are 2*0 m apart, perpendicular to the plane of the paper as shown in figure . The wire a carries a current of 9*6 A directed into the plane of the figure,The magnetic field at the point P at a distance of 10/11 m from the wire b is zero. Find (a) the magnitude and direction of the current in b, (b) the magnitude of the magnetic field B at the point s and (c) the force per unit length on the wire b .

A man is walking towards a vertical pillar in a straight path, at a uniform speed. At a certain point A on the path, he observes that the angle of elevation of the top of the pillar is 30^0 . After walking for 10 minutes from A in the same direction, at a point B, he observes that the angle of elevation of the top of the pillar is 60^0 . Then the time taken (in minutes) by him, from B to reach the pillar, is : (1) 6 (2) 10 (3) 20 (4) 5

A teacher takes three children from her class to a zoo at a time, but she does not take the same three children to the zoo more than once. She finds that she went to the zoo 84 times more than a particular child has gone to the zoo. The number of children n her class is a. 12 b. 10 c. 60 d. none of these

A particle of mass m = 1.6 X 10^(-27) kg and charge q = 1.6 X 10^(-19) C moves at a speed of 1.0 X10^7 ms^(-7) . It enters a region of uniform magnetic field at a point E, as shown in The field has a strength of 1.0 T. (a) The magnetic field is directed into the plane of the paper. The particle leaves the region of the filed at the point F. Find the distance EF and the angle theta. (b) If the field is coming out of the paper, find the time spent by the particle in the regio the magnetic feld after entering it at E .

Two indentical balls, each having a charge of 2.00xx10^(-7) C and a mass of 100g , are suspended from a common point by two insulating strings each 50 cm long. The balls are held at a separation 5.0cm apart and then released. Find (a) the electric force on one of the charged balls (b) the components of the resultant force on it along and perpendicular to the string (c) the tension is the string (d) the acceleration of one of the balls. Answers are to be obtained just after the release.
