Let the number of residents who read only The Hindu be 2x.
`therefore` Number of residents who read the times of India, both the newspapers and neither of the newspapers are 3x,4x and x respectively.
`2x+3x+4x=x+160`
`8x=160rArrx=20`
Number of residents in the locality
`=2x+3x+4x+x=10=200`.
