(i) The elements whose last electron enters into the p-orbital of the outermost shell are having similar properties and thus form a group. The .np orbital of these elements is being progressively filled. Hence, these elements are named as p-block elements.
(ii) The groups of `13^(th)` to `18^(th)` in the periodic table belongs to p-block.
