What is aqueous and non - aqueous solution ?

(i) If the solute is dissolved in the solvent water, the resultant solution is called as an aqueous solution e.g., slat in water.
(ii) It the solute is dissolved in the solvent other than wter such as benzene, ether, `C Cl_(4)` etc, the resultant soution is called a non aqueous solution e.g., `Br _(2) ` in `C Cl_(4).`
