What happen in case of gaseous solute in liquid solvent the solibility with increase in temperature?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In the case of gaseous solute in liquid solvent, the solubility decreases with increases in temperature.
When a gaseous solute dissolves in a liquid solvent, its molecules interact with solvent molecules with weak inter molecular forces when the temperature increase, the average kinetic energy of the dissolved gas molecules to gaseous state.
The dissolution of most of the gases in liquid solvent is an endothermic process, the increase in temperature decreses the dissolution of gaseous molecules.
