Let `A=3x^(2)-7xy+6 and B= 7xy-5x^(2)+15`
Find.
(I) `A+B " " (II) 2A+B`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`(I) A +B=(3x^(2)-7xy+6)+(7xy-5x^(2))+15)`
`=(3x^(2)-5x^(2))+(-7xy+7xy)+(6+15)`
`=-2x^(2)+0 +21`
`=-2x^(2)+21`
(II) `2A+B=2(3x^(2)-7xy+6)+(7xy-5x^(2)+15)`
`=6x^(2)-14xy+12+7xy-5x^(2)+15`
`=6x^(2)-5x^(2)-14xy+7xy+12+15`
`=1x^(2)-7xy+27`
