Let A = {x : x is an even natural number...

Let A = {x : x is an even natural number, `x lt 10` } and B = {x : x is a factor of 24}
(i) Draw venn diagram to represent these sets.
(ii) Find : (a) `A uu B` (b) `A nn B`

The correct Answer is:
(ii) (a) B (b) A

(i) `A={2, 4, 6, 8}`
`B={1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24}`
It is clear that, every element of A is present in B. So we draw two circles such that one is fully contained in the other.
The Venn diagram is as follows :

(ii) (a) `A uu B={1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24}=B`
(b) `A nn B={2, 4, 6, 8}=A`
