Let the son's persent age = x years.
`rArr` Present age of the man = 7 x years
`rArr` 2 years ago their ages are `7x -2, x -2`
Given that `7x - 2 = 11 (x - 2)`
`7x - 2 = 11x - 22`
`22 - 2 = 11x - 7x`
`4x = 20`
`x = 5`
`:.` Present age of the man `= 7 xx 5 = 35` years
Hence, the correct option is (a)
