The acids which are synthesised from the minerals obtained from earth's crust are called mineral acids. These mineral acids can be further classified on the basis of various characteristics.
Based on the constituent elements in the acids they are classified as hydracids and oxyacids. The acids which contain hydrogen and another nonmetal are called hydracids. The acids which contain oxygen along with hydrogen and nonmetal are called oxyacids.
