Suggest a method to fill water in a tank constructed at a height of 10 m from the ground by using a vacuum pump instead of an electric pump.

Construct a tank at a height of 10 m and create vacumn inside it by using a vaccum pump. Water raises to a height of 10.34 cm due to the atmospheric pressure. One end of a pipe is placed in the water at the ground. When the other end is connected to vacum pump water raises up due to atmospheric pressure. The water can be filled in the tank.

A 10 H.P. motor pumps out water from a well of depth 20 m and fills a water tank of volume 22380 litres at a height of 10 m from the ground. The running time of the motor to fill the empty water tank is ( g=1=ms^(-2) )

An electric pump is used to fill an overhead tank of capacity 9m3 kept at a height of 10 m above the ground. If the pump takes 5 min to fill the tank by consuming 10 kW power, the efficiency of the pump should be

Calculate the electric energy consumed by a 2 HP pump if it is used for 2 hours. If the group is used to fill an overhead tank, which is at a mean height of 10 m , find the quantity of water lifted by the pump. (Take g = 10 ms^(-2) ).

If the power of the motor of a water pump is 3kW , then the volume of water in llitres that can be lifted to a height of 10 m in one minute by the pump is (g = 10 ms^(-2))

A motor pump lifts 6 tonnes of water from a height of 25 m to a height 35m from the ground floor in 20 seconds. The power of the pump (in kW) is [g = 10 ms^(-2)]

Water is filled in a tank upto 3 m height. The base of the tank is at height 1 m above the ground. What should be the height of a hole made in it, so that water can be sprayed upto maximum horizontal distance on ground?
