(a) Carbon dioxide-Carbon and oxygen are non-metals.
(b) Water- Hydrogen and oxygen are also non-metals.
(c) Usually metals are malleable and ductile. They do not break into pieces on the application of force. However, zinc is a metal which is not malleable. hence, it becomes brittle and breaks into pieces on the application of force.
(d) Mercury is a liquid metal and is used in thermometers.
(e) Neon is the inert gas used in advertisement sign boards.
