Heterogenous liquid-liquid mixture is a mixture of two immiscible liquids which form two layers. They lighter liquid forms the upper layer while the heavier liquid forms the lower layer. They can be separated by taking the mixture in a separating funnel where the liquids get separated into two layers on standing. by opening the nozzle, the liquids in the two layers are separately collected.
