Tiger feeds on other animals. Does it mean that plants are not needed for the survival of tigers?

Tiger is carnivores, and hence, it does not directly depend on the plants for food. However, tiger feeds on other herbivores, such as deer. The herbivores in turn depend on plants for their food. That means, the tiger, though is a carnivore, indirectly depends on plants for its food. That means, herbivore animals survive only if plants are there in the ecosystems.
