The aqueous solution of sugar does not conduct electricity whereas when sodium chloride is added to water, it conducts electricity. Justify this statement.

`**` Sugar is a non electrolyte and when it dissoves in water, there will be no ionisation takes place . If there is no free ions, it does not conduct electricity.
`**` When sodium chloride is added to water, it is completely ionised to give `Na^(+)` ions and `Cl^(-)` ions. Due to the presence of ions, they will be possibility of electrical conductance. Becuase ions are carriers of electric current.
