For insulated system, `q=0`. The gas is allowed to expand against vaccum, the process of free expansion and thus `W=-PDeltaV=0`(`because" Pext"=0` for vacum)
`therefore DeltaU=q+w=0` i.e. internal energy of gas remains constant during free expansion. Also `UpropT` and thus temperature of the gas will also remains constant.
