This is a series connection , Further , whatevr current enters A has to pass B. i=2A.
The total resistance `=6+9+5=20Omega`. The effective potential across the resistances is `20Omegaxx2A=40V`. It does not matter in a series connnection where the batteries or resistances are connected . There will be no current flow from the 12V battery to the left . The arrow from the 12Vbattery to the left could mislead.
