The ratio of the monthly incomes of Mr Anand and Mr Milind is ` 9 : 10` and the ratio of their monthly savings is ` 9 : 10`. If the monthly expenditure of Mr Milind is Rs. 15,000, then find the monthly expendicure of Mr Anand (in Rs.).

Lat the incomes of Mr Anand and milind be 9x and 10x , and their savings be 9y and 10 y.
`:.` The ratio of expenditures of Mr Anand and Mr Milind = `(9x-9y)/(10x-10y)`
` = (9(x-y))/(10(x-y)) = 9/10`.
Given that the expenditure of Mr Milind is Rs. 15,000.
`:.` The expenditure of Mr Anand (in Rs.)
` = 9/10 (15,000) = 13,500`.
