What factors may be responsible for losses of grains during storage ?

There are two main factors responsible for losses during storage. They are : 1. Biotic, which include insects, rodents, birds, mites, fungi, bacteria, etc. and 2. Abiotic, which include moisture, temperature and other nonliving environmental factors.
