`b.` An aqeous solution of `AgNO_(3)` with platinum electrodes,
`c.` A dilute solution of `H_(2)SSO_(4)` with platinum electrodes.
`d.` An aqueous solution of `CuCl_(2)` with platinum electrodes.

(i)At cathode: The following reduction reaction compete to take place at the cathode
`Ag^(+)(aq)+e^(-)rarrAg(s):E^(@)=0.80V`
`H^(+)(aq)+e^(-)rarrr1/2H_(2(g)):E^(@)=0.00W`
the reaction with a higher value of `E^(@)` takes place at the cathode .Therefore the depostion of silver will take place at the cathode
Since pt electrods are inert the anode is not attacked by `NO_(3)^(-)` ions Therefore `OH^(-)` or `NO_(3)^(-)` ions can be oxidized at the anode .But `OH^(-)` ions having a lower discharge potential and get preference and decompose to liberate `O_(2)`
`OH^(-)rarrOH+e^(-)4OH^(-)rarr2H_(2)+O_(2)`
(ii) At the cothode the following reduction reaction occurs to produce `H_(2)`gas
`H_(aq)+e^(-)rarr1/2H_(2(g))`
At the anode the following processing are possible
`2H_(2)O(I)rarrO_(2)(g)+4H^(+)(aq)+4e^(-):E^(@)=+1.23 V`
`2S_(4)^(2)(aq)rarrS_(2)O_(6)^(2)(aq)+2e^(-)E^(@)=+1.96V`
For dilute suphuirc acid reaction (i) is preferred to produce `O_(2)` gas .But for concentrated suplhuric acid (ii) occurs
