What are emulsions ? What are their different types ? Give an example of each type ?

Emulsions : It is a colloidal dispersion in which both the dispersed phase and dispersion medium are liquid.
Type of Emulsions :
(i) Oil water (O/W) in which oil is dispersed phase and water is the dispersion medium. For example : milk.
(ii) Water in oil (W/O) in which water is the dispersed phase and oil is the dispersion medium. For example : butter, cold cream.
