Explanation

(i) Peptide linkage :
Peptide bond : The carboxyl group of one amino acid and amino group of another amino acid gets condensed with the elimination of water molecule . The resulting `-CO-NH-` (amide) Linkage is called a peptide bond .
(ii) Primary structure :
Primary structure : Proteins may contain one or more polypeptide chains . Each polypeptide chain has a large number of `alpha`-amino acids which are linked to one another in a specific manner .
The specific sequence in which the various `alpha`- amino acids present in a protein are linked to one another is called its primary structure .
(iii) Denaturation of protein : The complex three-dimensional structure of proteins gets distributed by changing the pH , temperature of by adding some salt . This disruption of the native structure of protein is called denaturation of protein.
