Explian by taking three different examples how do certain organisms pull through the adverse conditions when unable to migrate under stressful period.

Explanation

(i) Migrate : See Q.27 (b), Set-III, Outside Delhi-2014.
(ii) Conform : The body temnperature animals and plants changes with ambient temperature.In aquatic animals, the osmotic concentration of body fluids change with that of ambient water osmotic concentration, these plants and animals thus, conform to their environment.
(iii) Regulate : Some organisms are able to maintain homeostasis by physiological means which ensures constant body temperature, constant osmotic concentration etc. All birds, mammals and a few lower invertebrate and vertebrate species are capable of such regulation.
