How do darwin' s finches illustrate adaptive radiation ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Darwin realised that there were many verieties of finches on the same island . From the original seed-eating features, many forms with altered beaks arose, enabling then to become insectivorous and vegetarian finches . This process of evolution of different species in a given geographical area starting from a point and literally radiating to other areaes of geography is called adaptive radiation.
