Explain the role of enzymes in the extraction of DNA from Rhizopus in its purest form.

The extraction of DNA from Rhizopus in its purest form can be done by treating the fungal cells with enzymes such as Chitinase which will dissolve the cell wall. The RNA can be removed by treatment with ribonuclease whereas proteins can be removed by treatment with protease. Other molecules can be removed by appropriate treatments thereby purifying DNA.
