There is one short electric dipole place...

There is one short electric dipole placed on a plane. A straight line is drawn on this plane passing through the centre of electric dipole making an angle `theta` with the axis of dipole. A point P is selected on this line at a distance ten times the length of electric dipole from centre of electric dipole. Electric field intensity at the point P makes an angle `alpha` with the axis of electric dipole . What will be the magnitude of `(tan theta)/(tan alpha)` ?

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
2

We should know that `tan alpha =1/2 tantheta`
`rArr (tan theta)/(tan alpha)=2`
