In case of moving coil galvanometer deflection and current are proportional and hence device may be moving coil galvanometer. Option (a) is correct. In case of tangent galvanometer if deflection is for current I flowing through it then I = k tan `theta` . Hence deflection in tangent galvanometer is not proportional to the current flowing through it
