Two circular coils `A` and `B` are facing each other as shown in figure. The current `i` through `A` can be altered

As soon as current is turned on then at that instant current will flow in the other coil for some time due to sudden change in magnetic flux. But as soon as current becomes steady in coil then no current will be induced in the other coil. At the time of turning on, one coil will repel the other coil away to reduce the increasing flux. At the time of turning off the current in the current carrying coil, again there will be induction of current in other coil. While turning off the current, magnetic flux of other coil will decrease so the two coils will tend to attract each other to increase the decreasing magnetic flux.
