Two circular, similar, coaxial loops carry equal currents in the same direction. If the loops are brought nearer, what will happen?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When the loops are brought nearer, the magnetic flux linked with the loops increases. According to Lenz.s Law, the direction of induced emf is such as to decreacc the flux. Hence, the current in the loops will decrease.
