Two circular loops of equal radii are placed coaxially at some separation. The first is cut and a battery is inserted in between to drive a current in it. The current changes slightly because of the variation in resistance with temperature. Durig this period, the two loops

A

repel each other

B

attract each other

C

do not apply force on each other

D

information is insufficient to tell about the force acting between the loops.

The correct Answer is:
B

When temperature is increased due to current then resistance of coil increases which decreases the current flowing in the loop. Due to decrease in current there is decreasing flux associated with other coil. To resist the decreasing flux, coils are attracted towards each other.
