Why is density of a nucleus much more than the atomic density?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Nuclear density is greater than the atomic density because the size of a nucleus is much smaller than the atomic size, however nuclear mass is almost same as atomic mass. Thus, the density of nucleus is greater than that of atom.
