Case 1 : Rs. 200 shares at Rs. 220 paying a dividend of 10%
Rate of return `=(FVxx"Rate of dividend")/(MV)=(200xx10%)/220=9 1/11 %`.
Case 2 : Rs. 100 shares at Rs. 120 paying a dividend of 12%
Rate of return `=(FVxx"Rates of dividend")/(MV)`
`=(100xx12%)/120=10%`.
`:.` 12%, Rs. 100 shares at Rs. 120 is a better investment.
