(i) Simple epithelium is unilaminar while compound epithelium is multilaminar.
(iii) Dense regular connective tissue is formed of bundles of white fibres running parallel to one another so form tough and inelastic structures e.g, tendons which join muscles with the bones.
Dense irregular connective tissue is formed of bundles of white fibres arranged in a criss-cross manner and has areolar. It forms sheaths like pericardium , dura-mater, periosteum, perichondium, and capsules around testes, kidneys , etc.
(iv) Adipose tissue is a type of connective tissue proper having soft matrix with numerous rounded adipocytes , each of which has either a large fat globule or a number of small fat droplets . It is present beneath the skin and helps in homeothermy.
Blood is red vascular connective tissue having fluidy matrix, called plasma, not secreted by blood cells. Plasma has 3 types of corpuscles-Erthrocytes (RBCs), leucocytes (WBCs) and platelets in man. Blood mainly helps in transportation of materials inside the body.
(v) Simple glands may be straight or coiled, unbranched or branched once. Thesr may be tubular-shaped (e.g., crypts of Lieberkuhn of intestine , sweat glands of skin, gastric glands of stomach) or saccular-shaped (e.g., milk glands of humans)
