The walls of ventricles are much thicker than atria. Explain.

It is because the auricles are to send the blood to closely lying ventricles while later are to send to distantly located organs of the body e.g. right ventricle sends deoxygenated blood to the lungs present on the sides of heart, while left ventricle sends oxygenated blood to head above and even upto lower limbs of the body.
