Business is the creation of society. No business can survive and earn profit in isolation. It makes use of resources of society . It earns profit by selling its products and services to the members of society. Businessman is not the owner of all the resources , he is only a trustee of resources and it becomes obligatory on his part to do something for the society that has provided him with the resource to survive and grow. Businessmen must assume social responsibility for society at large because of the following reasons.
