An electron does not suffer any deflection while passing through a region. Are you sure that there is no magnetic field ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

No, because the electron suffers no force when it moves parallel or antiparallel to magnetic field. So the magnetic field may exist parallel or antiparallel to the motion of electron.
