Why longitudinal waves can't be polarized?
OR Light waves can be polarized while sound waves can't. Why?

Verified by Experts

Only transverse waves can be polarised. But longitudinal waves a cannot be polarized. Sound waves are longitudinal in nature. Hence the reason.
