Explain the Law of Dominance using a monohybrid cross.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

This law states that when a pair of contrasting factors for a character are present together, one dominates over the other. This law is used to explain the expression of only one of the parental characters in a monohybrid cross in the `F_(1)` and the expression of both in the `F_(2)` It also explains the 3:1 ratio of `F_(2)` generation.
