The acceleretion due to gravity of moon "g" is small. Therefore the escape velocity in the surface of moon is also small. The molescules of in its atmosphere have greater thermal velocities than escaoe speed The molecules can easily escaped from the atmosphere of moon. Hence the moon has noatmosphere.
