Why do plants not require a digestive system?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Plants are autotrophs. They prepare their own food using `CO_(2)` , `H_(2)O` in the pressure of sunlight trapped by the chlorophyll pigment present in the leaves. There is no need of digestive system for plants as they use the starch as such.
