The biological hydrogen production with algae is method of photo biological water splitting. In normal photosynthesis the alga, Chalmydomonas reinhardtii releases oxygen. When it is deprived of sulfur it , switches to ferredoxins. [Fe] hydrogene enzymes combine them into the production of hydrogen gas.
