(i) The large pupil open wider and allows the maximum amount of light to enter the eye in the dark .
(ii) Their lens is large and situated near the retina . This also alloes a lot register on the retina . Retina contains 2 types of light sensing cells rods and cones.
(iii) Cones are responsible for coloured vision and require bright , focused light.
(iv) Rods are extremely sensitive to light and have a photo sensitive pigment called rhodopsin which plays vital role in night vision.

Read the given paragraph about human eye carefully and correct the mistakes. Our eye is cylindrical shaped. The wall of the eyeball is composed of five layers. The outermost layer is cornea. The innermost layer is called sclera. The eyeball consists of elastic nerves and biconcave lens. The pupil attaches lens to iris . Iris has rod and cone shaped cells. Aqueous humour is present between lens and retina. The vitreous humour is present between cornea and lens . The brain changes the light into nerve impulses and sends them to retina.

Represent the following situations with suitable mathematical equations. Sridhar and Rajendar together have 45 marbles. Both of them lost 5 marbles each, and the product of the number of marbles now they have is 124. We would like to find out how many marbles each of them had previously.

    (a) In the above example, the electron drift speed is estimated to be only a few mm s^(-1) for currents in the range of a few amperes, How then is current established almost the instant a circuit is closed? (b)The electron drift arises due to the force experienced by electrons in the electric fieldinside the conductor. But force should cause acceleration. Why then do the electrons acquire a steady average drift speed? If the electron drift speed is so small, and the electron's charge is small, how can we still obtain large amounts of current in a conductor?
