STATEMENT -1 : Weightlessness is observed in an artifical satellite and this weightlessness does not depend upon the height of satellite above Earth's surface.
and
STATEMENT -2 : Weightlessness is not observed upon moon because mass of moon is much larger than that of artificial satellite. The weight of a body upon moon is due to the gravitational pull of moon upon the body.
