(b): Since `vec u =a hat i+ b hatj `
`vecu` is in first quadrant, so both components a and b are poitive .
`vec(v)=p hatu + qhatj`
`vec(v)` is in positive X-direction (downward), so X component of `vec(v)`, i.e. p, is positive and Y- component of `vec (v)`, i.e. q, will be negative.
The correct option is (b) .
